Research from Operation Frontline Colorado
On March 10, the JLD Public Policy Council heard a fascinating presentation from Ruth Stemler, M.S, R.D., Director of Operation Frontline Colorado. Share Our Strength’s Operation Frontline is a groundbreaking nutrition education program that helps families help themselves by teaching them how to prepare healthy low-cost meals.
Although SB 123 focuses on childhood obesity and Operation Frontline focuses on hunger, both of these issues often share a common background of food insecurity due to households with limited economic resources and limited healthy food options.
